A total of 23 teams took part in this year's Family Cooking Competition 2008 with the Theme: "Family Heritage Food".  3 Preliminary Rounds were held on the 14th Jun 2008 at Heartland Mall and the judging criteria were as follow:

Texture 20%
Presentation 20%
Method of Cooking 10%
Level of Co-operation (Team Spirit) 10%
Total 100%
